We were delighted to deliver our first Textile Talk of 2026 to the student council at Antrobus St Mark’s CE Primary School.
As the first school to take part in our brand new digital initiative, Antrobus St Mark’s helped officially launch Textile Talks across our partner network.

The session brought together members of the student council for a live, interactive discussion exploring textile recycling, clothing waste and the role schools can play in creating positive environmental change.
Pupils were engaged, thoughtful and full of ideas. From questions about what happens to donated clothing, to suggestions for increasing awareness across their school community, it was clear that the group were genuinely invested in the topic.
Their enthusiasm reinforced exactly why education is such an important part of tackling textile waste!

Giving students a Voice
Textile Talks are designed to empower eco clubs and student councils to lead from within their schools.
At Antrobus St Mark’s, the student council embraced that opportunity, discussing how they could:
• Encourage wider participation in upcoming collections
• Share key messages with classmates
• Promote textile recycling at home with their families
It was inspiring to see pupils already thinking about practical next steps.
Thank You
A big thank you to Mrs Hughes and the student council for welcoming us and being the first school to take part in Textile Talks this year.
We look forward to seeing how their ideas develop and how they continue to champion sustainability within their school community.
If your school would like to follow Antrobus St Mark’s lead and book a Textile Talk session, we would love to hear from you.
