Autumn of Action 2025 has arrived, bringing together schools and community groups across Wales to boost textile recycling this term.

Running throughout October and November, the campaign encourages you to plan a collection day, complete the creative classroom activities, and take part in the national prize draw.

Schools and community groups across Wales are invited to take part through Dragon Bags to increase recycling and keep unwanted textiles in use. Your group is challenged to:

Plan and promote one textile collection day in either month
Complete the October or November upcycling classroom activities
Share photos of your work across the months

PRIZE DRAW

Collections are automatically recorded through our system, and all participating Dragon Bags schools and groups will be entered for the £100 Autumn of Action Champion prize plus runner-up prizes.

Winners will be selected based on their effort in collecting clothes and completing the activities.

Each participant completing the classroom tasks will receive a digital Upcycling Certificate upon request, and one school will win a Textile Champions Educational Assembly from Roberts Recycling.

How to Take Part

Choose a date in October or November for pupils and families to bring in their bagged clothing donations.
Book your collection with the Roberts Recycling team for the same day or within the days following your donation.
Plan a classroom lesson to complete the October or November upcycling activities and capture plenty of photos.
Use the bilingual posters and parent or guardian letter provided in your pack to promote your drive within the school and community.
Share your collection-day photos with Roberts Recycling so we can see your school in action.
