Repurposed shipping containers transformed into a bright, sustainable breakout area for the team

We are pleased to share the completed transformation of our new on-site staff breakout space at Roberts Recycling, bringing Phase 1 of Container to Comfort project to life.

Created using four repurposed 20ft shipping containers, the new space has been purposefully designed to support the wellbeing of our ever-growing team.

Flooded with natural light, the finished area provides a larger, more comfortable environment where colleagues can step away from the working day and recharge, including cooking facilities and seating.

The build is insulated in areas with insulation produced from recycled textiles unfit for rewear, on site at Roberts Recycling.

Sustainability has been central to the build throughout.

Phase 2 will kick off in the near future, as we continue to develop the space. This includes plans for a living roof, rainwater collection system and an upper-level outdoor space designed for fresh air and downtime during warmer months.

The project was delivered in partnership with InBox Projects, whose attention to detail helped bring the vision to reality.
