As part of our commitment to supporting our partner schools in the Recycle 4 School and Dragon Bags programmes to boost their recycling efforts, we’re excited to continue our ‘Summer of Sustainability’ campaign with a brand new July activity sheet and competition for students.
Designed to empower young people to enjoy learning about sustainability ahead of the Summer holidays, our July worksheet encourages pupils to reflect on how reusing and recycling clothes can help protect the planet.
Taking real action
Our July activity sheet asks students to:
Create a Summer Clear-Out Checklist to help pupils gather unwanted items in their homes to donate if they can
Design a poster to raise awareness about the importance of textile reuse and recycling, with the chance to win a prize for their school.
We also take the opportunity to reinforce an important message: By sending clean, good-quality clothing to our banks, schools help reduce waste and their carbon footprint while giving clothes a second life around the world.
