This week, the Roberts Recycling team of Hattie and Lewis visited Northwood Community Primary School in Kirkby to help launch ‘Tis the Season of Sustainability’, our latest school clothing collection drive!
After a brilliant Green Careers Day session in November, it was great to return and spend time with a very enthusiastic Eco Club eager to make a difference and set about on their recycling journeys.
Students got involved in a selection of activities from our new ’Tis the Season of Sustainability fun pack, which is now available to download.

As part of the visit, the school joined our free recycling and fundraising programme Recycle 4 School, receiving their indoor collection box in the process.
During the session, pupils shared thoughtful messages about why recycling matters and how donating unwanted clothing can help others while keeping good items in use. Their enthusiasm set the tone for a busy few weeks ahead, in which they will be planning a school Christmas clothing collection, just like many of our hundreds of school partners.
Raising valuable funds for schools while helping divert unwanted textiles from landfill is what a season of sustainability is all about!
