An unforgettable day on the water, supporting Liverpool Zoe’s place Hospice
Last Saturday 13th September, the Roberts Recycling team joined groups from across Merseyside at the first ever Dragon Boat Race in support of our friends at Liverpool Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
The event turned out to be an incredible day for the team, as we paddled through three rounds of racing on the water. With plenty of live entertainment and cheering from onlookers over onshore, it was an amazing way to raise awareness and funds for such an important charity who are close to our hearts.
After three rounds of relentless rowing, our crew proudly managed to place 2nd overall, a fantastic overall achievement. By taking part we raised £2,000 for Liverpool Zoe’s Place, helping support the amazing work they do for children and families across the region.
Our partnership with Liverpool Zoe’s Place goes back many years, and we’re always proud to support the hospice wherever we can.
A final huge thank you to Liverpool Zoe’s Place for letting us participate, and to everyone who donated or came down to celebrate. We were beyond honoured to take part and to row alongside so many other incredible local organisations!
Who knows, if there’s another race anytime soon, the team Roberts will definitely be back to paddle even harder for the amazing cause!
