We’re proud to unveil our latest smart clothing banks at New Mersey Retail Park in Speke, launched in partnership with North West Cancer Research and supported by site operator New Mersey Retail.

Located in a prominent position near McDonald’s and Pets at Home, these easy-access banks are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, making it simple for the local community to donate unwanted clothing and support life-saving cancer research.

This exciting collaboration was marked by a visit from John Roberts, Director at Roberts Recycling Ltd, alongside representatives from North West Cancer Research and New Mersey Retail. We were even joined by the charity’s mascot, helping raise awareness and spark smiles across the park.
Each clothing bank is equipped with a scannable QR code, giving members of the public instant access to the bank’s live recycling data and a link to request home collections. This is part of our ongoing rollout of smart textile banks across the UK, combining convenience with transparency to build greater trust in textile recycling.
“Every single bag donated helps fund vital cancer research. It’s a cause close to our hearts and one we’re proud to champion alongside partners who share our values.” John Roberts, Director
Supporting Charities Across the UK
Roberts Recycling has a long-standing commitment to social impact. Through our clothing bank partnerships and reuse initiatives, we’ve helped raise over £2.5 million for UK charities in the past 12 months alone. Whether working with local hospices, schools, or national causes like North West Cancer Research, we believe in giving unwanted clothes a second life and using that value to support meaningful change.
