New Partnership Supports Textile Recycling Across St Helens
Roberts Recycling is proud to have been awarded the publicly advertised contract by St Helens Borough Council to provide and manage textile recycling banks across the borough, building on the council’s commitment to reducing waste and supporting more sustainable communities.

Following a highly competitive tender process open to national providers, we were selected after receiving the highest overall score, based on the strength of our environmental impact and social value delivery.
The banks form part of the St Helens Borough Recycles initiative, with local data showing that around 2,800 tonnes of textiles are thrown away in brown bins each year in St Helens alone.
Roberts Recycling brings more than 15 years of experience in the textile recycling sector and was recently awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for a third time – one of the highest accolades for British businesses.
Simon Roberts, Director at Roberts Recycling, said:
“We’re proud to be working directly with St Helens Borough Council and look forward to helping increase local recycling rates through high-quality infrastructure and the provision of community projects.”
