Royal Recognition: Simon Roberts Attends Windsor Castle to Celebrate King’s Award

An unforgettable honour for our Director Simon Roberts, who was formally invited to Windsor Castle to attend a royal reception hosted by His Majesty King Charles III.

The invitation recognises Roberts Recycling Ltd as a 2025 winner of The King’s Awards for Enterprise in International Trade – one of the highest accolades a UK business can receive.

This year marks our third King’s Award, following previous wins in 2019 and 2022. We are one of only a handful of companies to have achieved this distinction three times, following a rigorous selection process involving recommendation by an independent panel and formal approval by the Prime Minister and The King.

“It was a surreal and incredibly proud moment to be back at Windsor Castle,” said Simon. “To have our work recognised in this way – not once, but three times – speaks volumes about the commitment of our team, partners and supporters.”

The award celebrates the global impact of Roberts Recycling’s textile reuse and recycling services. From our base in Halebank, Cheshire, we export more than 15,000 tonnes of reusable goods each year, helping to give new life to clothing, reduce landfill, and support thousands of charity and community partners across the UK.

With continued investment, an expanding team and growing international reach, we remain committed to building a more circular, sustainable future for fashion and textiles.
