Sustainability in Halton: Roberts Join #1stuesday event

Yesterday our Director Paul Roberts was invited to speak at Halton Chamber of Commerce’s #1stuesday Networking Event, held at the DCBL Stadium in Widnes.

With more than 40 businesses from across Halton and the Liverpool City Region in attendance, the theme of the event was “Going for Green,” exploring how local organisations can reduce their environmental impact and access support on the road to Net Zero.

Paul was one of the featured speakers, sharing how textile recycling can help businesses adopt low carbon practices while supporting their communities.

“We help turn unwanted textiles into something meaningful,” said Paul. “It was a pleasure to share our story and meet local businesses who are committed to doing things differently. There’s real momentum in Halton to embrace sustainability.”

We were also pleased to hear from the team behind the LJMU Eco-Innovatory Fund and the Low Carbon Eco Innovatory Grant Scheme, which offers match funding for energy-saving installations and access to academic expertise.

As a business with a strong commitment to sustainable practices, we’re keen to explore how this initiative could support our environmental goals.

Thank you to Rachael Owen, CEO of Halton Chamber, for the invitation, and to the Chamber team for hosting an excellent event.

With the Halton Business Awards just around the corner, we’re looking forward to returning to the DCBL Stadium in a few weeks, where we are nominated for the Exporter of the Year award.

If you'd like to discuss how we can help your organisation with textile recycling, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
