At Roberts Recycling, we believe sustainability should be part of everyday operations—both on the warehouse floor and in our workplace culture. This week’s Makers Monday highlights a simple yet practical example of that commitment.
Giving Old Towels a New Purpose
Denise from our team recently repurposed a collection of unwanted towels into usable gym towels. These are now being used in our newly launched onsite gym, helping reduce waste while meeting a real need.
Rather than disposing of worn or excess textiles, we look for ways to reuse materials internally. This project shows how small steps can support our broader sustainability goals.
A New Facility for Staff Wellbeing
The onsite gym is a new addition at our HQ. It’s part of our focus on supporting the health and wellbeing of our team. As with all aspects of our business, we’re building the space with sustainability in mind—starting with the basics like repurposed equipment and supplies.
Encouraging a Culture of Reuse
By approaching day-to-day needs with a reuse mindset, we reinforce the values at the core of our business. Makers Monday gives our team the opportunity to share creative solutions and practical ideas that support our commitment to reducing textile waste.
Share Your Ideas
What materials could be reused in your own space? We’d love to hear your thoughts. Share your ideas with us or tag your own projects with #MakersMonday. Watch the gym towel makers Monday here.
