Team RGI recently visited Halton ABC in Widnes for a boxing masterclass led by Head Coach Tommy Cavanagh, enjoying an afternoon of fitness, teamwork and learning more about the sport.
The session introduced the team to the fundamentals of boxing through a series of drills and exercises, with Tommy sharing his experience and coaching expertise in a fun, engaging environment. It was a fantastic opportunity to step outside the usual working day, challenge ourselves and spend time together as a team.
The visit continues our growing partnership with Halton ABC. Earlier this year, we were proud to sponsor the club’s entry fees for the Algarve Box Cup, helping local boxers compete at one of Europe’s leading international tournaments.
The team returned with some fantastic results, including Rhea Kanu being crowned Female Boxer of the Tournament and Best Elite Female Boxer.
Supporting organisations like Halton ABC is an important part of our commitment to the communities where we live and work. The club provides opportunities for young people to build confidence, discipline and resilience, and we’re proud to support the positive impact it continues to have across the local area.
