RGI X PLAINE: Moving Wild x Materials in Motion

RGI has partnered with Liverpool outdoor brand Plaine Outdoors on a limited collection supporting Moving Wild, a free community adventure bringing people together through the outdoors.

Roberts Group International (RGI) has partnered with Plaine Outdoors, an independent Liverpool outdoor clothing brand, to support Moving Wild, a free community adventure designed to get people outside, moving and connected.

Created by Plaine Outdoors founders Joshua Evans and Mike, Moving Wild brings together people from different backgrounds and with different stories, creating an open and welcoming opportunity to experience the outdoors together.

We believe more people should know about it. Shop the collection here:

Bringing Materials in Motion to life

After 16 years working with brands and diverting more than 50 million items from landfill each year, we understand what happens to clothing when it reaches the end of its intended use.

We also understand the importance of what happens much earlier in a garment’s journey: the materials selected, the quality of construction and whether something is made to be worn, looked after and passed on.

That is something we admire about Plaine Outdoors.

Their approach is centred around high-quality clothing, produced in short runs and designed to be looked after. It is a philosophy that aligns closely with our own belief that textiles should be kept in use for as long as possible.

To celebrate and support Moving Wild, RGI and Plaine Outdoors have teamed up on a limited collection of four pieces.

The collection features organic cotton alongside fabrics containing 50% recycled cotton, with each piece screen printed locally in Liverpool.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

A shared statement of intent

This collaboration is about more than creating a limited collection.

It brings together two ideas that we believe belong together.

Moving Wild keeps people moving. Materials in Motion keeps textiles moving.

Clothing should be worn for longer, repaired where possible, passed on, reused and kept in circulation.

By supporting brands that prioritise quality and longevity, while continuing to find new ways to keep textiles in productive use, we can help create a different relationship with the clothes we wear.

This collection is a small but deliberate statement of intent.

Moving Wild 002

The collaboration also supports the next Moving Wild adventure, taking place on Saturday 31 October.

The day begins with coffee at Derek’s Sandwich Shop on Allerton Road, alongside a Plaine Outdoors pop-up store, before the group heads into the Peak District to climb Mam Tor together.

It is exactly what Moving Wild is about: getting outside, meeting people and sharing an experience without barriers.
