Paul Roberts: I’m Paul, and we are from Roberts Recycling. Does anyone know what recycling means?
Pupil: Recycling is where you can put things like plastic and clothes in, and it doesn’t go to the dump. You can reuse it and make it into something new.

Grace Barlow: My name’s Grace. I’m [unclear] in Halewood, and I am here today representing Knowsley Council. I’m very, very proud to do that job.
It’s really great to have Roberts Recycling on board with us. It’s a key partnership, I think, for young people and schools, who will be really on board with how they can reduce their textile waste.
Young people are really the voice of the future, and education is key to getting that message out there.

Paul Roberts: Last year, we raised two and a half million pounds for charity. That’s quite good, isn’t it?
Pupils: Yeah.
Pupil: Instead of just throwing it in the dump, you reuse it for other people in other countries.
Pupil: I think it goes away to other countries that need clothes.

Grace Barlow: We’re grateful for everyone who’s brought in their clothes. This will help support the borough’s wider environmental aims, because we want sustainability to be a part of everyone’s future.
